LOCAL HAIRCOLOR PRACTIONERS HONE SKILLS AT NATIONAL SUMMIT
Alfredo J. Sararo Jr. of Salon Alfredo Spa & Boutique in
Bonita Springs who is surpassing the competition of the beauty
profession attended the American Board Certified Hair colorist
(ABCH) Summit in Los Angeles, CA.
The practitioners attended the American Board of Certified Hair
colorist Sixth Annual Hair color Energizing Summit in Los Angeles,
CA in June. The Summit caters to professionals by attracting the
best in the business to study new technology and techniques required
in the fast-paced beauty industry. ABCH recommends hair color practitioners
attend at least one Hair color Energizing Summit every three years.
The ABCH is a fairly new non-profit organization established in
1997. ABCH develops standard certification requirements for hair
color practitioners to benefit consumers choosing a professional
hair colorist. Certified hair color mentors share experience and
knowledge with aspiring hair colorists to guarantee the outcome
of products used to enhance the art of professional hair coloring.
Consumer’s benefit from a certified ABCH practitioners who
has a proven track record measured by established standards that
guarantee competence and excellence in the art of hair coloring.
The American Board of Certified Hair colorists supports measures
and endorses the status of certification in the profession by administering
a written exam and a stringent performance examination. They are
also asked to formulate for 5 clients with hair color challenges.
Only 50 percent of those who apply pass the standard requirements
for all 3 portions of the examination. There are 1056 Board Certified
Hair colorists in the United States.
